Saturday’s weekend school was really great. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and particularly enjoyed the two keynote speakers.
There was a great turnout generally and a great representation of staff from the TDC libraries. It is great that so many of our libraries staff took the opportunity to make the most of this professional development opportunity.
Kate DeGoldi was just enthralling. I will be eagerly awaiting her next book in September after hearing the excerpt she read to us. I’ll also be trying to find a copy of the Elizabeth Enright – Milendi Quartet.
Annette Milligan made me really think about our ability to create our own stressors and equally our ability to reduce the stressors in our lives.
Her suggestions about telling oneself a positive statement to change one’s mindset were great and I know that it does work.
Cathy Vaughan, Debbie Bowden and the others on the committee did a great job on this years weekend school. What a source of pride for TDC libraries to have hosted such a great event. Thank you!
