Just to update everyone ….

The the Top of the South Local History (known by us  as TOTS) Taskforce have appointed a researcher/writer – Joy Stephens, assisted by Karen Stade.

We have appointed a web design company   -   @ Web One
So it is all action with the Taskforce at the moment and our brains are working overtime.
We need  to have a website up and running with a minmum of 30 stories by 31st December (funding requirement).  The web designers  want five stories completed by

20th August so they can begin with a working project.

This is where we need your help – we urgently need an original, punchy, innovative Domain name.  We came  up with the following:

http://www.topofthesouthstories.org.nz
But according to our web designers we have to do better than that.

It has to be a name that encumbers the region i.e. Top of the South Island as it is a joint project between the Tasman District Libraries, Nelson Public Libraries and Marlborough District Libraries.

It has to convey that it is stories or local history of this area.

It can’t be too long or too hard to spell or else people won’t remember it

It has to be unique

Send all ideas to Cathy by the beginning of next week – there will be prize for the best one!
